Your Privacy Matters: You have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time. This page explains how to do that.
Overview
If you want to delete your BedSync account and all associated data, you have several options. All deletion requests are processed within 30 days.
What Gets Deleted
When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Account Information: Email, password, business name, phone number, address
- Inventory Data: All building listings, photos, pricing information
- Website Content: Your public dealer website and all customizations
- Settings: Color schemes, business hours, social media links
- Connected Services: Facebook page connections, inventory sync credentials
- Images: All uploaded mattress photos and carousel images
- Location Data: Other lot locations and sync configurations
Note: Billing records may be retained for up to 7 years for tax and legal compliance purposes. This includes transaction history and payment receipts, but does not include your inventory or business content.
Deletion Methods
Method 1: Self-Service Deletion (Easiest)
If you have an active BedSync account, you can delete your own data:
Step 2: Go to Settings tab in your Admin Panel
Step 3: Scroll to the bottom and click "Delete Account"
Step 4: Confirm deletion by typing your email address
Step 5: Click "Permanently Delete My Account"
✅ Your account and all data will be deleted immediately. You will receive a confirmation email.
Method 2: Email Request
If you cannot access your account or prefer email:
Step 2: Include in your email:
- Subject: "Account Deletion Request"
- Your account email address
- Your business name (if applicable)
- Reason for deletion (optional)
Step 3: We will verify your identity and process the request within 30 days
✅ You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted.
Method 3: Facebook App Data Deletion
If you connected BedSync through Facebook and want to delete your data:
Step 1: Go to your Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites
Step 2: Find "BedSync" and click "Remove"
Step 3: This will disconnect your Facebook page, but to delete your BedSync account data, also email us at
privacy@bed-sync.com
✅ We will delete your Facebook access tokens immediately and your full account within 30 days.
Deletion Timeline
- Self-Service Deletion: Immediate (within minutes)
- Email Requests: Within 30 days of verification
- Facebook Disconnection: Tokens deleted immediately, full account within 30 days
What Happens After Deletion
✅ Your public dealer website will be taken offline immediately
✅ You will lose access to the admin panel
✅ All inventory data and photos will be permanently deleted
✅ Facebook auto-posting will stop
✅ Your subscription will be cancelled (no future charges)
⚠️ This action cannot be undone - make sure to export any data you want to keep first!
Export Your Data Before Deletion
If you want to keep a copy of your data before deleting your account:
- Log in to your BedSync account
- Go to the Manage Mattresses tab
- Click "Export Inventory" to download a CSV file
- Download any photos you want to keep from the image manager

SMS Text Messaging Privacy
BedSync offers an SMS notification service ("BedSync Dealer SMS Alerts") to registered dealers. The following privacy practices apply to our SMS program:
Data Collected via SMS
- Phone Number: Your mobile number as provided in your BedSync account settings
- Opt-In Status: Whether you have consented to receive SMS messages
- Message Logs: Records of SMS messages sent to your number for troubleshooting and compliance purposes
How SMS Data Is Used
Your phone number and SMS-related data are used solely for delivering BedSync dealer notifications, including new lead alerts, sold confirmations, and account notifications.
We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your phone number or any personal information collected through the SMS program with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
SMS Data Retention
- Your phone number is stored as long as your BedSync account is active
- Message delivery logs are retained for up to 90 days for troubleshooting
- When you opt out or delete your account, your phone number is removed from the SMS system
Opting Out of SMS
You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any BedSync text message
- Removing your phone number from your BedSync account settings
- Emailing admin@bed-sync.com with the subject "SMS Opt-Out"
After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message. No further messages will be sent unless you re-subscribe.

Carrier Information
Standard message and data rates may apply. BedSync SMS notifications are compatible with all major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your Rights
Under various privacy laws (including GDPR and CCPA), you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your data
- Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data (Right to be Forgotten)
- Portability: Export your data in a machine-readable format
- Restriction: Request limitation on processing of your data
